The center spring on my latch (tilit lockdown) is broken and needs re-installation.
It is the spring that connects from a tab on the bearing sleeve (part #44) to a pin.
Does the pin need to be removed to re-install the spring?
.
The drawing I'm looking at on the volvopenta website shows a 275 drive, but it's very similar to my setup.

thanks

and
MERRY CRISTMAS !!

No, the horizontal pin does not need to be removed.
The expansion spring should have one end that is more open than the other.
Expand the opening a bit, and place this end over the pin and the other end over the bearing sleeve hook.

While your working on it inspect the moving parts for wear.
The locking spring hooks edges get rounded.
Might as well fix it at the same time.
The only thing I've found bad about the Volvo parts is the cost!!!
Left one is $82 and the right is $92.
Just hope they aren't bad.J

Bump
DO these latch pawls look OK or should I put new ones on?
The picture in the manual doesn't help me.
