283 Chris Craft Motor has no power

283 ran perfect had the marina do a tune up and nothing is the same ? New block with 50 hours ! 14 % timing was noted when new block was tuned . Reset the timing the best I can ( they had to rebuild the carb with the tune up with all problems) Now it seems there is no power can't do over 2.5 rpms running bad . Ordered new Holley carb & New electronic ignition tonight to begin again . I forget they charged me $ 500 dollars for the F*)&*^ up tune up . Any one have a thought as to what to do ???? I'm lost . 67 Chris craft 20 ft corsair looks better then new just want it to run perfect again . ( could they have messed up the timing chain ? )

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... I'd think the 1st step is to talk to the Marina, 'n let Them make it Right,....

Ya already spent $500.00,... Why pizz away Another $500.00..... Ya shouldn't need another carb, 'n ignition,...

Wrong firing order ? Now I change it back and there is nothing ? Called the guy who but the new block in and said turn the distributor 180 % ?
I'm lost and the marina wouldn't do anything at all ????

Sounds as if you need an aging shade tree auto mechanic. It'd take him 5 minutes to find your problem. (Note: Young mechanics often don't even know how to rebuild a carb.)

Then you need to file a summons at Small Claims Court.
