292 v6 oddfire

Ok guys, We have a 292 V6 (Buick we think) with an Oddfire distributor. It's in a 22' Reinell. Story is, orig. 292 went bad and was replaced with this one. The original marine distributor came with the boat. So, any reason why we can't just swap distributors? We don't know any thing about the oddfire system.

post a pic. there was never a 292 V6 put in a boat, Buick or any other make.
maybe you mean 229 Chev. maybe you mean 292 I6 Chev. maybe you mean 225 Buick
who knows.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Is/ was it an OMC, or Mercruiser, or Volvo, or,..??..??

To Howard Sterndrive. I know the differance between a V-6 and a straight 6. thanks for insulting my intelligence. NOT!! just relaying the info that was given to us when the boat was delivered.

-the 292 is an inline 6. why that insults you I don't know... maybe you are overly sensitive.
this is one of many "What's the difference between a bicycle?" threads you have started.
You never seem to return with any pertinent info or answer any questions asked by other posters. why is this in "other brands"? Check this out:
