1983 2hp Evinrude. Champion spark plug J6C, gapped at .030 .

I just picked up a 2hp Model e2rctd
serial F0160864. Can you tell the year for mine? Purchased due to a death in a guys family. Looks like hasn't run for a bit, good compression, uncertain of spark. Anything else to look for?

wow quick reply, while browsing more i found an interesting way to tell,, the word " introduces, using 1,2,3 etc under each letter tells you the yr. Course you probably already knew this. Just got it and pulled the rope while having the plug unscrewed to check for spark. None, I suspect i should start with a new plug? Already drained the gas. What about the impeller?
