we've been boating 2 years and i love it. however, when i'm all alone, i dream of a bigger boat. i need your help identifying said boat.

here's a list of my demands:

<15,000 bucks
generator
hot water heater
shower
fridge, microwave, stove
single engine
partitioned/curtained v berth, booth seating, and aft cabin (sleeps 6).
8'6" beam
trailerable (<9000lbs)
i'd like a molded in swim platform, but not a necessity

so far, the 260 sundancer and 265 wellcraft antigua are the only ones i found that seem to fit. what do you suggest?

don't tell my wife about this. she wants to start putting money in our son's college fund.

I'm curious- what year(s) of 260 Sundancers had booth seating and an 8.5' beam? As for the Antigua's, I'd strongly recommend a professional survey. They're all 20+ years old.

Having a separate v-berth and diner booth seating were a couple of the reasons I bought my boat. That seating arrangement is tough to find, and nearly impossible in a narrow-beam boat (mine is 9' 4").

Look at mid eighties sea ray 268's. There's a bunch of them out there. Just make sure you find one with a 7.4 motor.

it would have to be the mid 80's. the teacher salary doesn't allow anything but.

Okay, found it in the Searay archives. Only an 8' beam, too.

Good luck in your hunt!

look around. A friend of mine just picked up a 25' Carver twin cabin for $3500 with only 208 hours on it. was in storage for past 8 years. he bought it from a widow that wanted it to go to a good home. only needed carb kit and a new toilet. there are good deals out there.
