Well, my first time taking the boat out wasnt the greatest experience. THe water was very choppy, I didnt expect the way a direct drive reacts in reverse, and with the real choppy water docking and loading the boat was really difficult, so I got pretty frustrated.

Took it back out this morning knowing better what to expect, had a great time, no trouble launching or retrieving or docking. Just cruised around to get a better feel for it, tested how fast it stops, etc

Went out early to hopefully jump on the lake before it gets busy, and we did.. the water wasnt perfect but it wasnt bad either, had a great time. Cant wait to get back out now, wakeboarding is my next adventure.

Congrats! I/Bs can definitely take some getting used to. But, damn, they've been around forever! You might take solace in the fact that every "dedicated" ski boat is an I/B...:)
