3.0 Cobra with a 4.3 engine?

I have a 3.0 Cobra that I'm trying to sell. I have a potential buyer but his boat is powered by a 4.3 engine. Will the 3.0 work with his setup? I don't want to sell it to the guy if it won't. Thanks.

It will bolt up by changing the motor mounts on his boat, but he won't like the performance going to your motor

not sure what you are calling a "cobra" - I'm guessing the outdrive? it'll fit, but some 3.0 cobra outdrives used the "400" sized lowers with a 13T propshaft spline - not going to last long over 140HP.. Then, the last few years , OMC beefed it up and used the larger gearcase for the 3.0

But either will have the wrong gear ratio and it will probably not be fixable with prop pitch

Yep, I had my doubts. I'll just keep listing it till I find someone who needs this drive.
