Just to let everyone know i replaced my 1985 3.0 liter with a 1977 3.0 liter engine, My cherry picker was able to go high enough on both boats to remove the engines without having to remove top rails or the trailer tires.
What i had to use from the 1985 engine was the bellhousing, the two piece exhuast riser, and the wiring harness. I did not have to change the manifold. It was a pretty easy job.
This was my first time doing something like this and it really wasn't bad at all. it took about 7 hours from start to finish and that was not working hard.
