3.0 L Horse Power varies by model year?

After looking at the specs on 3.0 L Mercrusiers the HP seems to vary by year. Is this correct? Looks like my 94 has 115 hp...... while later years have 135.

well, after a starter bolt issue and running my S# for parts, I just might have the 3.0 LX....

It even varies within the same year. The '94 3.0 L Alpha-1 is rated at 155 but the '94 3.0 LX Alpha-1 is rated at 135. I have no idea what the differences are between the engines and whether the "L" could be easily upgraded to "LX" specs. Might be something worth looking into.

do you mean the "LX" @135 HP upgraded to the "L" @155? or is that a typo...
