you can try snugging it up see if it goes away. instead of replacing one of the carb shops i buy parts from sells these copper flare washers like thesethats what i thought it was but seeping out of the top of that flare fitting is an oil like fluid. just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing something. i have to do some inspecting that its not coming from somewhere else.
i took it apart and noticed a rubber plug like gasket inside the nut that looked a little worn. i cleaned it all up and snugged it all back together. seemed to make it worse. ill try what you posted and see how that does.you can try snugging it up see if it goes away. instead of replacing one of the carb shops i buy parts from sells these copper flare washers like these

Copper Flare Gasket for 3/8
These are the 3/8" copper flare gaskets that can be used on the fuel lines. If you have problems with fuel lines seating at the flare fitting these gaskets will take care of those issues. The 3/8" lines are from the fuel block to the fuel filter. One required.pontiactripower.com
been amazed at how easy they seal up older flare fittings
Its a flare fitting, as mentioned, but does not (if appropriate) require an o ring. The fitting normally seats when the brass trunion is torqued accordingly.i took it apart and noticed a rubber plug like gasket inside the nut that looked a little worn. i cleaned it all up and snugged it all back together. seemed to make it worse.
