Well another successful day

had to swap bellhousings on both motors

I also removed the manifolds on both motors.

Here are both motors stripped down to there long block form. (or very close)

pretty much the same motors once everything is off.

I also swapped the valve cover over since that is where the shift linkage would bolt up on the merc.
I am a little confused on how exactly I am going to get it all to work right but I think it will be easier once I have the motor back in the boat.

Here it is all put back together waiting to be put in boat tomorrow.

here are a couple quick questions I have tho

OMC MOTOR (you can see the merc fuel line the black tube does not quite line up with the old fuel line.)

I am talking about the fuel regulator thingy-ma-jig. It has a hard line that is a little different and I am wondering if I can just swap both those as well or if it would be easier to just to have a new line made?

my other question is do you think this will work. (90deg elbow connecting the manifold and the impellerpump I believe is what it is.) I had to cut the hose a little bit but I think I did a good job and I dont think it is kinked too much but just wanted some others to add their .02 cents.

Also like I was saying earlier I am not sure how I am going to do the linkages. I could pull the whole control out of the Merc boat and use that however I think I will run into issues with that as well being Merc boat was 17 ft and my new to me OMC is 19ft

Well the moment of truth will happen tomorrow morning after I get off work. Hopefully it is all good and I can get it out on the water.

Wish me luck and still not exactly sure how I am going to do the Controls.
