Ayuh,... Sounds like the gimbel bearin' is on it's way out,.... Try greasin' it,....

As Bondo said, The gimble will make a rumbly noise when it's wearing out. If the mechanic had to raise the motor to do the work, I'd say the drive should be removed anyway, as the alignment may be off now. Much easier to fix now rather than wait till it wrecks more parts.

Gimbal bearing was replaced last year, that's wat I was thinking that the shaft is out of line, could a novice like myself fix it??

Yeah you can. Read the stickys on top of the forum, and get yourself an alignment tool. It's not to hard of a of job just take an afternoon and have fun. Noting wrong with getting an official service manual to.
