3.5 hp Sears needs reeds, what year?

I have a (IIRC) 3.5 hp Sears outboard that needs reed valves. One of the four reeds in the assembly is bent. The air cooled powerhead is a Tecumseh (on the flywheel), so maybe I can get reeds from my local small engine shop (Tec. and Briggs authorized shop). Years ago just before I discovered the bent reed, I had it running a little in a garbage can, but when I took it a couple miles to the lake, it wouldn't run.

Can anyone tell me what year it is? Also, I'm not 100% sure yet on the 3.5 hp.
model # 217-59860
serial# 70505

Back after 8 years hiatus from the forum. Does anyone know of a source for reeds to fix this?

I used Tecumseh as my search and I did it in all categories
I looked last night using tec actual part no. I believe I used (Tecumseh 470138 ) I found a old crappy set you wouldn't want.
Like I said I found tom a brand new set, I think he paid $9 for it from one of the tecumseh old stock sales.
You just have to watch...like I do, heck I just bought a brand new AV817 all nice and shiny and tight of course I waited untill myahtynunya bought one, took almost a year and a half before someone esle could confirm the water jacket for me...hehehe Thanks mahty.

simpley using Eska will not give you a fraction of what we could be looking for here, those reeds(engines)were used on a bunch of dif pieces of equipment. maybe the best search for just the outboard parts would be (sears ouboard) and then Eska, Ted williams, Gamefisher, using (Eska outboard) will only get you a few, flea bay is kind of tricky, you can run a search once and get a few hits, go some place else come back and do it a second time and get the whole banana.

can you post a picture of you reed assembly?
