3.8 Chrysler, F knob?

I have purchased a small Chrysler 3.6 hp motor of 70's vintage and have just finished repairing the tank in prepartion of trying to start. It has a throttle on the side and two pull, push knobs on the front marked F and C with C obviously meaning choke and I assume the F means fuel because it is hooked to the fuel line but I would like to know the procedure for using it, do you pull it out to start, do you pump it to get it started or do you leave it in to start and pull it out to stop or something totally different. I do not see any electrical means of shutting motor off once and if I get it started. I would appreciated any help on this info or any other info concering this motor,

Couldn't find any info but my guess is you would turn the fuel knob clockwise to close and counter to open.My after market manual lists the 3.6 from 70 to 77.My book has a gap until the 3.5 appears in 80.The 3.6 uses a Tillotson CO-1A.carb It has a low speed needle and a fixed high speed jet.Initial low speed setting is one turn out from gently bottomed.Champion L86 plug set at .030.
points set at .020.Most small motors are stopped by simply retarding the throttle lever intill it stops.Fuel knob is there to shut off the gas when carrying tilting or storing the motor.If you can't figure the fuel knob loosen the gasline and push,pull or twist the knob until gas comes out.

Thanks for all the info, I think mine is a 1976. The know functions with a push pull not a twist and there is a separate fuel shutoff on the bottom of the tank but you would have to pull the cover to get at it so maybe that's all it is, pull on and push off, Thanks

These engines were designed with the thought that such a small engine would be removed from the boat at the end of the day and carried home in the tow vehicle or car. You pull the knob to open the valve and admit fuel to the carburetor. There is no fuel pump. It is gravity fed--just like your lawn mower. At the end of the day, you push the knob closed and run the carb out of fuel so that when you lay the engine in your trunk, you don't get fuel leaking all over the place. You also close the vent in the tank cap.

I forgot: That engine does not have an electrical shut-off. You push the throttle lever past slow to the point where it will no longer idle and it stalls.

For reverse, you spin the whole engine around 180 degrees. There is a ledge on the leg which mates with one on the transom clamp to keep the engine from kicking up in reverse.

Fuel-oil is 25-1 or about 1 Qt oil for 6 gal gas.
