Hi all, I have 1 cranking battery that I use for starting,2 fish finders, stereo and lights when needed my other 2 batts are deep cycle hooked up in series 24v for my trolling motor, Could I use a 4 position battery switch to connect to starter batt and run to 1 of the deep cycle batteries leaving them in series if that makes sense,
Thanks for any help

I would not do that

If the reasoning behind doing so is to use one of the Deep Bats to parallel with Start Bat for emergency starting, then just use a single ON/OFF switch

Assuming 24V and 12V are grounded together. Place switch between first Deep Bat and Start Bat. Do not use the second Deep Bat because it will have 24V on Pos post. Turn Switch ON when needed and Off after motor starts

Running 2 batt on series to get 24v to trolling motor and my cranking batt has everything else that's 12v operated, battery tends to get weak fast running everything else
Sorry, wrong info my 2 12v deep cycle batts are hooked up in parallel and I get 12v reading on checking one of the batts

Don't syphon power from your start battery. Maybe a solar panel would give enough to fish a bit longer.

if you check just one battery you will have 12v. if your jumper wire is hooked up to negative on one and positive on the other it's 24v. put your meter on plus and neg where the trolling motor wire's connect see how many volt you have
