Hey everyone, just bought a 2000 bayliner with the 3.0l mercruiser. I have a little drip of water coming from the front of the engine when its running. Is it the water pump. Do I need to replace the whole pump or just a gasket or seal...Thanks

^^^ yup, where's it leaking, exactly?

The water pump has a weep hole, so that could be your issue. Remove the pulley and see if there are traces of dried up water coming from the weep hole. If the pump is leaking, it needs to be replaced.

And, if you don't act fast enough, water may compromise crankshaft seal causing harmonic balancer to rust or pit seal.
