3-wire trim limit switch - where to get?

Hello,

My trim limit switch on my 2003 Bravo 3x is crapped out. It worked fine before I replaced the gimbal ring but doesn't work at all now (probably because I crushed it and cracked it when I replaced the gimbal ring....).

The drive is on a 2003 Crownline. Drive serial number is 0M164955. My trim limit switch has 3 black wires coming out of it, but the only replacements I can seem to find only have 2 wires coming out of the limit switch. No numbers or words on any side of the limit switch, just a black puck with 3 black wires coming out.

My throttle assembly doesn't have a separate trailer switch, but it won't let you raise the drive above the 21 3/4 ram extension with the motor running. Some computer wizardry I assume. With the motor off the drive comes all the way up.

Anybody familiar with this? A part number for the 3-wire limit switch would be nice!

Thanks,

Keith

Go up to the top left of the page and click on Marine Store, then search for switch. They have lots of them.

Do you have Smartcraft gauges? If so, that is what uses the 3 wire switch. It's PN is 863187A1

On your trim switch, when the drive is up to full trim, push the trim button a little harder, it has a second indent.

Thanks Don,

That's exactly what I needed. My boat doesn't have Smartcraft guages, but the engine does have the Smartcraft capability. Apparently the outdrive uses the Smartcraft limit switch, so I guess the throttle assembly with the trim switch is set up for it.

Thanks again Don!
