3 wire vs 5 wire switch -edited

I just got a great deal on an nos shift switch for my 69 115hp. My question is the original switch only had 3wires on it and the one I got has 5. Will they swap or did I just get a useless to me spare?

the 5 is what it was suppose to have. they now have 6 wire, that is the one you push the key in to activate the choke or primer.
