Have a 1970 evinrude 115 hp motor that has three wires coming from remote control box. One is grey and the other two are red, red/black. I figured the grey was the tach, but what are the other two for? My manual doesn't show these three wires.

Switched 12V positive and ground to power the tach. Gray is the tach signal. The + & - can also be used to power something like a gas gauge, along with the tach.
