I am going to replace the tired powerhead on my daily work motor with a used one I had in my shop. The cranck made a little noise when i rotated it, so I opened it up to have a look.
The arrowshaped outher shell on the center bearing lost a small fragment of metal, and the bearing overheated and melted the cage. All caused by a faulty seal arould the cranck in bottum end, causing the oil not to circulate properly in powerhead.
I have another cage with fine rollers, but i miss the arrowshaped outher shell, actually only the part without hole in it. Its apparently discontinued from OMC. Part number should be 0322916, correct me if I am wrong. Anyone have one floating around ? I will be willing to buy one. Cheers - G DANE
