30 hp nissan flywheel troubles

When I pulled my flywheel off it fell and damaged the parts under it, broke some of the bare copper wires that are wound together. The part has some wires that come out from under the flywheel and plugs up above the plug wires what do i need to replace under the flywheel. Also while I have the flywheel off what parts should I replace the motor is a 92 model.

For servicing a Nissan OB, year is unimportant, model/serial is everything. It's probably an NS30A3 or A4. Please verify that. Why did you pull the flywheel? Was there a problem? Normally you wouldn't pull the flywheel at all unless there was a specific repair you needed to do. There are 2 coils on the breaker plate; an exciter coil (for the CD) and an alternator coil. Which was damaged? Is the flywheel itself OK? From your description, it sounds like you are probably unfamiliar with the servicing of this 20-year-old motor... was there something specific that needed repair?

I had to pull flywheel because of a sheered pin, flywheel is ok looking to buy parts.No one in my area has parts.

You need the model number off the engine...25C, 25C2, 25C3, etc.

How did you manage to shear the woodruff key? The flywheel is intended to mount to the tapered shaft, DRY, and properly torqued. If the taper was oiled or greased, the flywheel will come loose. The new key is: 334001310M MAGNETO KEY $2.98. If you need to replace the coil plate assembly (with both coils), you will indeed need to know the correct model, not year. For the NS30A3, the correct part is 3A0060020M COIL PLATE ***'Y $399.43. For the NS30A4, you would need 3P0060020M COIL PLATE ASSY. 25C3 & 30A4 $405.45. Now then... if you only need one of the coils, that might be available, and likely at a lower cost. These bits are available from any dealer (including me). What is your ZIP code?
