30hp evinrude parts fit 35hp evinrude early 80's

Just wondering before i buy it, i wanted to ask if anyone knows if the powerhead or top part of a late 70's early 80's 30hp evinrude will fit an 81 35hp bottom?

You could spend some time looking at the parts manuals and see if the part numbers are the same on the parts you are trying to swap.

It will fit, same base gasket.

Thats what i was looking for - Thx Haffiman.
I have some manuals but it takes me forever to find something in them and it hadnt occurred to me exactly what to look for but if the base gaskets fit, then surely the bolt holes line up too!!
