32" vs 36" Wide 14ft Jon Boat

I have a 14ft 32" wide Tracker jon boat and was wondering if there was a significant difference in stability between the 32" and 36" wide jon boats

I would expect the 36" beam boat to be significantly more stable, bjs. But how does one measure that?

Double entendres aside, those four inches really do make a BIG difference.

A 32 inch beam is very narrow for a John boat. Even 36 inches is narrow. For reference a 16 foot Mad River Explorer canoe has a 35 1/2 in beam. A few more inches in beam would make boat a lot more stable.
