Re: 33 HP Johnson

I as at an AOMCI swap meet a week and a half ago and picked up a nice green tiller for a 50's J25 as I have a '54 J25 which is currently remote driven but might switch over to tiller one day... It's handy to have :)

Re: 33 HP Johnson

Hi there, I am new to this forum. I would like any info that anybody could give me on a 1969 johnson 33 HP 33E69 outboard that I recently purchased. It looks to be in great shape. I would like to know how to service it to get it running. The gent I bought it off of said that it hadn't been used in quite some time, but it ran great at the time. I freely so am able to pull the cord so I don't believe it's seized or anything drastic. I am a novice in the marine field. I bought the motor for a 1965 aroliner debonaire that a friend gave me. That's a whoe other restoration story lol.
Thank-you.

You should start a new thread to get specific responses but the best thing to do first is to read the top secret info at the top of this forum under awakening a sleeping outboard. It will tell you everything to do to a new-to-you engine. I also have a '66 J33hp and it runs like a top... A good engine.

Sorry, don't want to ruffle any feathers, and didn't think before posting to look around first. Will make sure to look before posting.
