To anybody who serves our country, either as a first responder, a soldier who defends our freedom, or a relative of either who has to face the possibility of their family member not coming home, thank you for your sacrifice.
I don't know if anybody here got a chance to watch some of the programs on History channel yesterday. One of them was "102 Minutes That Changed America". It was a compilation of both news and amateur footage in chronological order as the events of that day unfolded. IMHO the most sobering footage (short of the towers collapsing, and the people leaping from the building) was the groups of firemen assembling a few blocks away, getting there equipment in order and extra bottles of air. If I remember correctly, neither of the towers had fallen yet, but they knew it was a bad situation for sure. You next see a sea of fire fighters marching to-wards the buildings. I looked at their faces, and wondered how many of these guys didn't make it, how many have been disabled by it, and how many have died after it.
