Grey to me normally means water in it as ive never seen grey oil come out of any oil pack ive used before but who knows what some oil company may of brewed up.
Being low is also a sign something is not right.
But since you have drained and refilled. Have another run and then recheck, it doesnt sound like its dumping out the oil in a catastrophic way

Would return to 50:1 fuel ratio, if you haven't already done so.

Yups,owner is under strict instructions to go with a proper fifty-to-one mix in his other tank, He took the boat home and we're gonna give her a test flight next week in the estero. Might even bring my fly rods....lotsa halibut, corvina and spotted bay bass here.....:lol:
