35 HP Compression Readings

Hello,

I have a 1980ish 35 HP mercury outboard. I just did a compression check and found 165 in the top cylinder and 190 in the bottom number. These numbers seem really high to me, and perhaps too far apart as well. What do you guys think?

try using another gauge they all read different. or using the #'s you gave 190lbs. X .85 = ? . your lowest reading reading should be no less then (?). do the math for me i failed algebra twice
