Hi all,
I have a '95 350 Mag Carb with a starting problem. Went out saturday, ran great for about an hour. Stopped, anchored, went swimming. Went back to start up, slow to crank. Eventually killed the battery. Got towed back to a dock, went and picked up a new battery and some starting fluid. Cranked on the new battery and a shot of starting fluid for about 10 seconds then nothing. Hit the starter again and all I get is a heavy click hit time I hit the key, but no cranking.
I've always had an issue with this starting hard when hot, but it's never failed. I'm thinking it needs a starter replacement, but is there anything else I should be looking for? Seems odd that the starter died, but maybe it burned up due to all the cranking?
Thanks
