I have been trying to solve a lack of power and upper RPM. I have been reading many posts and replaced may parts. To date I have replaced the distributor cap, rotor, wires and plugs. I checked the fuel pressure while operating on the water, 42 to 45 #. I had an intermittent pop, mostly at lower or idle. ran the boat on a separate rank with new gas and the pop went away. I siphoned all of the gas from the tank. After all of this I still have the poor power and lack of top speed and RPMs. I purchased a GTC505 engine analyzer and and the voltages for each cylinder are between 6.2 to 6.5 Kv.
Is that voltage acceptable? What would you recommend next. I have checked the distributor cap on the lake and can not find any evidence of moisture.
The boat is a 2006 Monterey with 60 hours, of which 20 I have put on the boat since I purchased it this spring. The engine serial number is OW613417.
If I cant get to the bottom of it myself it's off to the dealer on Tuesday for a scan and analysis.
Thanks
Ron
