hello,
new to the board here,,,i have a 35 hptwin that sat for ten yrs in a barn, it was fogged before putting up,the pull cord was hangin out upon inspection,,a flag went up,the prop wasnt dented or dinged and the motor look on the outside to be handled ok, so i bought it for 200 buck, no whip or controls...got it home fix the recoil, tryed jumping the starter to fired it up and there is a bad flat spot in the starter, it spun with the aid of channel locks,,but then grabbed again, now i know why the pull cord was hanging out ,it shot the cylders with lps lube cranked the motor over and then put the plugs back in it,gave it a shot of carb cleaner and it fired by way of the pull cord,,,good so far,i pulled the starter and what a job that was,,,do they aways come out so hard?i had to pop the carbs off and the bendix to get it to lean hard enought to clear. anyways my s/n for the motor is 2425389,dont know what yr it is and i need a rebuilt starter for it, can anyone help? thanks in advance,,,
