I have a 3607 with a Hynautic H-50 steering system. The upper station is leaking fluid and I have removed it but hesitate to disconnect the hyd. lines till I depressurise the system. I think I can handle the rebuild but can not find the tank. Any and all suggestions gratefully received.

there is no tank. the system is a closed loop between the helm and actuator.

Thanks, but the Hynautic H-50 diagram for the boat shows a 2 qt. tank and a 20 PSI air pressure charge. I am afraid of a major spill if I disconnect any of the lines without releasing the pressure first.

FOUND IT!

For those of you who are still reading this thread.
It is NOT a closed system.
The accumulator tank is located under the rear stateroom mattress, starboard side. It has a pressure gauge (charged to 20 PSI) and a filler cap with a shedder valve in the cap, for pumping it up.

To open the lines without depressurizing would have been very messy.
