Hi all,
Please bear with me and assist a newbie. 3hp are few and far between but I have searched this forum to no avail so here goes.
I have a Force 3hp O/B. It was bought around 1989 and is lucky to be used for around 1 hour per year. (it was for using whilst fly-fishing).
Today I noticed that during the 2 minute journey, yes 2 minute, that there was no tell tale flow from the pipe.
This is the first that I recall even looking to see if it was pumping. I know that it is wrong to be like that but if one doesn't know then how was I to know?
However, I do know now, that O/Bs have tell tales but do all O/Bs have them but more especially a Force 3hp (1989ish)?
There is a steady flow coming out a hole just above the lower unit above the prop so perhaps that is all thats needed?
In the likelyhood that I need a service for the impellor can someone direct me to a suitable site for instruction?
Thanks all.
Edit: This engine has no neutral. Spin the engine for reverse.
