Success! It was actually easier than I expected.

here's my tool, and a shot of the insert in place.

the line was getting stuck in the insert slits, but on the third attempt, I felt it click right into place.

the radius zip tie is part number 54-816311T

I can find it around for $25-40 for 100. I need 1. to buy 1, it's $10 for shipping.



Is there a reason not to use a stainless steel radial hose clamp, like used on the other end?

Too big, too heavy, there's also not enough space. If you can't find a single fuel line tie, use a standard tie and wrap it double.
