I have a 1996 Mercruiser 4.3 LX 4bbl Alpha 1 Gen 1.
Trying to find a complete wiring diagram that includes
the gauges and engine.

The engine harness diagram shown is for a gen 2 as it has a lube bottle (2)

Yes, and to add this shows a electric fuel pump, if yours has a manual pump then the wires won't be there
