We have been having trouble with our 98 Bayliner.
When running at idle or just above idle it will sputter then stall. Then it will not start.
Or it just wont start at the beginning of the day.
It seems that the only way to start it is to leave the throttle and the choke open for a couple of hours. Basically, it seems flooded.
When it is running it is fine
Its been to the shop a couple of times but they have only made adjustments. They test drove it and it was fine.
The engine compartment did take in water last year.
Could it be a weak ignition?
Bad gas?
Although thought it may be a sensor in the throttle lever.
I used my timing light to confirm there is spark when it will not start.
