4.3 Mercruiser EFI when slowing down to idle beeps and motor sometimes stalls

I'll be coming in to to the dock and shift in to neutral at 1500 rpms and motor will beep and sometimes stalls. The motor purrs at idle wen it's stated and idles at 850rpms. Not sure why this is happening.

I am going to assume this is an Alpha 1 Gen 2. The lower shift cable could be the stall issue. Your idle is a little high also.

With an EFI/MPI engine, a beep means something. But to know which manual to look in, we need a serial number...
