Last summer I had one of my exhaust flappers (shutters) fail therefore I received a good bit of water in my oil. Since I bought this boat used I figure why not rebuild the motor, rings, bearings, gaskets, etc. I have it all back together in the boat and I realize I have an extra ground I am unsure about its location. Are there any diagrams on grounding? Or main components?

On top of that I'm not getting fuel with key turned. I jumped it from starter positive to fuel pump (purple) and the pump works. The motor turns over with the key, just not sure why I'm not getting fuel. Any ideas? TIA

How about a photo of the ground wire.

You should only see power to the fuel pump with the engine cranking over to start or running. You won't see 12v power with just the key on.

I will upload first thing tomorrow.
It used to come on when I just turned the key forward, I think I read that somewhere also. I'll look into it and get back with you.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... If the fuel pump came on with just the key in the "On" position, it was wired wrong,.....
