4.3 Mercruiser smoke from exhaust on compression test

4.3 mercuiser with EFI. I had the heads off due to water infiltration. Put boat back together and it now blows smoke. I retorque the heads after 20hrs and decided to do compreesion test with the exh maniflolds off. I noticed that the cylinder that I was doing the test on would blow smoke. see photo Otherwise the cylinders didn't blow smoke. Compression was even on all cylinders.
Any thoughts?

The photo didn't show up... When you say smoke, do you mean vapour, like water vapour? It's not uncommon to see vapour from cylinders after doing a compression test...
