4.3 omc cobra winterizing

Can anyone tell me what I would exspect to pay to get my 4.3 omc cobra winter ready at a boat repair shop.

A couple hours of labor and parts...gear lube,oil,filter,fogging oil ect...
guessing a couple hundred at least.I always winterized my own.

Depends on the shop. Some do a complete, professional winterization, some just drain the water and send you down the road. ASK them what they do and how much.
Look at the sticky at the top of this forum for what should be done. It will give you an idea of what and why.

Find out if they are doing the whole fall service, including the engine oil, filter, drive oil, fogging and draining. And if they are not that familar with Cobras, remind them of the three drains that are on the pivot housing, that can hold water and crack if they are not drained. Takes about 2-3 hrs depending on how long it takes to pump out the engine and and drain the outdrive. In addition, the drive should be removed so that the gimble can be checked, ujoints lubed and bellows checked for water intrusion. If you have water in there you don't want it sitting there all winter.

I just had the lower shift cable replaced and they already checked and lubed the gimble and ujoints and checked the bellows. I got a price today to get it winterized. $140.00 will cover engine oil, filter, gas line filter drive oil fogging drainning and whatever else they do.

They replaced my lower shift cable and adjusted my throttle cable plus gasket for 250.00. It was a good price. I had one guy give me a price of 800.00

140 sounds very fair for the winterization with oil and gear lube change.
