Hello, I reinstalled my transom assembly and am reinstalling the engine after replacing crankshaft seals. In the process, I replaced the trim sender and limit switches.
this is for a 2004 4.3 with 4bbl carb and alpha one gen 2 drive.
couple of questions:
1) I found a disconnected ground wire with eyelet that looks unused, coming from the wire harness near the slave solenoid and ignition fuse. Should that be attached to something?

2) found a simolar ground with eyelet coming out of harness at same location as purple/white and black wires connecting to the carburetor. I don't think this was ever connected to anything, but wanted to verify.

3) i connected the trim sender (m/f quick connects), but do not recall where the trim limit wires were connected. both sets of wires were severed in the bell housing. the quage did not work and the limit switch may have bypassed or wasn’t connected. I cannot find any obvious available connectors near the pump.
my commander has U/D and trailer buttons with red/green/blue/purple wires coming to pump, and there’s an aft U/D switch as well.
the purple is connected to the blue near the pump. Does the limit switch connect inline to the blue/purple connection? Is it possible that it was never connected or used?

thank you!
