Hi all,
I'm working on my 89 Regal with a 4.3L (92) Anywho, I have the new short block in place of the one that cracked (age). I inserted my outdrive alignment tool and she slid right in with a little resistance. (I can't do it with a finger, I have to grip the bar with one hand and push it in.) It got too dark by the time I was ready to make any needed adjustments or read the grease, but I did rotate the engine 90 degrees 4 times and it slid in easily each time.
I can make final adjustments with no problem, but should I install the heads and manifolds first? Would that extra weight not affect the engine alignment? Or am I over thinking it?
Thanks for any and all advice.
