After 5 consecetive evening on the water, the boat cranked, started and then died following. it would not start following. Looked in the carb and no gas was pumping in on a throttle pump. back to the garage, pulled the punp and did a bench test and it was good. With switch on checked the power to the pump, no power. Pulled the 7.5 amp fuse and good there with power passing thru. Cleaned all wires at battery to get good confidence there. All good on that end. Checked the rear bulkhead reset fuse. At first it was not getting power thru it but it began working after playing with it. Ood, might need to replace it.

So I need to understand a bit more on the system to figure things out. In another post, I read that the fuel pump will send power to the fuel pump with the switch on. Was stated that the alternator prowides power to the fuel pump once going. In a wiring diagram I noticed the alternator also powers the electric choke, of wich I'm also not getting power to with the switch on. I mention this as that has also been a challange. I'm thing I might have an alternator issue perhaps?

Appreciate any direction and insight to get me going again.

Don't have the GL-G but have the E
Choke is powered from a different tap then the pump
Fuel pump relay is energized when the Yellow/Red is powered while cranking
Once started the ALT powers thru the Green wire

Check the diodes

I'm good with where they are on the wiring diagram, was asking where they are on the engine in the wiring harness so I can test.

Not sure but think most are in line under some insulation. To check, use a ohm meter and see if you can get continuity from ALT to relay and Start assist relay to fuel pump relay

If it is like my older model think it picks up power thru a relay that closes when oil pressure builds after starting
