4.3L OMC Cobra -- Timing?

Anyone know the timing for a 4.3L marine engine? Also, what thermostat does it use? Is it different from an automotive t-stat?

What engine? OMC, Merc or Volvo?<br />You definitley have to use a marine thermostat<br />My OMC gets set at 6 degrees BTDC

yeah its a 4.3L OMC.

Assuming it's raw water cooled it should have a 160 t-stat, timing could be different depending on what year you have and what octane gas you burn.
