4.3L Volvo Penta Harmonic Balancer

1997 4.3 GSPLKD

Hi everyone I need some help finding the correct balancer for the above motor. In the process of putting together a new longblock I got for it but the old balancer has gone missing :facepalm:!!

I am sure I can source this as a GM part but I am having problems getting the right one.

The Volvo part number is 3855734- I attached a picture of one I found online for reference.
I had NAPA look up a GM part number and got 6005344-In the other picture.

As you can see the front portion of the balancers are different and I am not sure how this will affect the pully and the belts.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this issue? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

you need a 1996-2006 4.3 balancer.

Thanks for your quick reply Scott. When I look up 1996-2006 4.3L balancers I get GM 10224885 as a part number, which in a quick Google search appears to be the same balancer I got from NAPA (pictured above).

Hi Scott just seeing if you have any more insight into this? Spent the weekend trying to find the correct balancer to no avail, really feeling stuck at the moment.........

the one on the left in your post is GM/Delco 10224885

the one on the right appears to be GM/Delco 10243272
