Ive been researching a closed cooling system on the motor above for my boat. (1990 Campion Allante 185) I want to run antifreeze in the block for running in salt water/lake water.
Ive found a few kits but ive found in my research that there are recommendations for upgrading the water pump on the motor. Im not sure on which pump though for the vbelt 4.3LX mercruiser motor.
Also, i need clarification on the Alpha one leg impellar removal with a close cooling system. Should i be removing the impellar if i go with a closed cooling system on the engine block.
Which closed cooling system kit tends to be the best bang for the buck overall out of the avalible kits for the 4.3LX
