Re: 4.3's to 5.7's swap in 280 Sundancer

I like your idea!! I will definatly keep everything posted as I progress. I love thru hull, but on a cruiser like this, it would probably be more annoying than anything. I've decided to swap the h20 pump also. I actually got set back the other day when the inverter charger slid off the h20 heater in the back of my SUV (both pulled from the boat) and landed on a deep cycle battery. needless to say, it actually set fire to the entire back of my truck. Luckily my buddy with me saw it up in flames just as we started smelling it and warned me to pull over. We got the back doors open and everything pulled/stomped out, but lowe and behold, my $1,000 30amp 3 bank inverter/charger, water heater, several pieces of the brand new full enclosure canvas were destroyed. Hows that for a crap story??? And I can't get that damn smell outta my truck now. Burnt plastic/canvas...yummy. But the truck itself is okay. Anyone else have any stories similar to this, or is it just my crap luck.

I would think that he would need 8cyl reluctors and pickup coil assy's also.
