I'm considering upgrading to a 4 blade ss prop for my 1998 striper with a 2000 225hp envridue fitch ram.

Recommended RPM: 5000 - 6000
# of Splines: 15
Gear Ratio: First: 1.86

I'd like to get on plane a bit faster and have reasonable fuel economy at mid speed. I'm not concerned about top end speed.

The boat is pretty heavy so I'm thinking a 4 blade ss prop 15" diam and 15 pitch might be reasonable.

Anybody have any comments/suggestions?

Thanks in advance

what size prop are you running now and what is your wot rpm and speed? then we can tell you what you need. i run my 200 evin. at 5700-5800 on the boat you see with a 4 blade ultima turbo 4 17p witch is awsome. id run that motor closer to 6000 than 5000 especialy with that big of a boat. 2 strokes live on rpms. dont give them enough they die early. besides that 225 horsepower is rated at 6000. at 5000 youd have like 180 horsepower.

John, I am showing a 15" Pitch 4 blade SS will be perfect for your boat and motor combination. I show an all up weight with everything on your boat at about 6,400 pounds and the gear ratio for your motor at 1.86:1. With the Rev 4 running at almost top RPM you should expect about 40 MPH.

i suggest a 4 blade 14 1/4 x15 turbo ultima which has stern lifting characteristics they are awsome. less of the boat in the water is always a good thing. these props are second to none when it comes to dealing with rough waters
