I went to check the oil today and found water in it. Any suggestions on what it could be besides the head gaskets or manifold?

Thanks

How much water? Is it way over full and a milkshake comeing out the dipstick and valve cover? Or are we talking a residue of moisture on the valve cover cap?

Like a milk shake. I noticed residue on the cap a couple of weeks ago and didn't think much of it. When I checked it roday the dip stick looked milky so I pulled out fo the season or until I can fix it.

Check your spark plugs for signs of water. It's the easiest thing to check first.

Usually the riser or manifold is the first failure item. Followed closely by a head gasket issue .

It would be best to do some checking and preventive cleaning and lubrication before letting the engine sit for an extended period of time.

Yes, there was water on two of the plugs around the same time I noticed it in the oil. Again, I did not think much of it because I heard some one at the marine talking about how they had water in the fuel and we fill up at the same place. I figured I would put some dry gas in and problem solved. Unfortunatly I was wrong.

Ayuh,... There's No way water in the Fuel could ever cause Water on the sparkplugs...
The Manifold has to be disassembled to Check it,...
The Block can be pressure tested by draining,+ pressurizing with Air...

How did you make out?

I would wager it was a gasket problem.
