4 hose PT pump

Hey all, I traded a guy some boat stuff for a 70's PT pump with no hoses - rusted motor that I got running and I was wondering if taking the pump body apart for inspection/cleaning is a good idea, the manual says no.
Has anyone successfully dis/re assembled this part?

I have taken them apart and you can clean up the reservoir, but (which I have done) take the four torx bolts out will expose the small gears that create the pressure, the problem is the small steel balls and springs, getting them back in the right way and the pressure screws for the springs and balls set correctly for the pressure. I have looked everywhere and can't find a diagram for it and settings for the screws. Buz
