Well its been 4 long weeks since Ive had a smoke and its finnally gettin a little easier. The patches help but its mostly the mental addiction..I never relized how much of a slave I had become to ciggaretes..12 years of 1-2 packs a day and then you quit only to find out how much of youre time is spent with one in youre hand..oh well everyone have a good one

yeah hang in there buddy! march 14th will be one year for me. and except for the 35 pounds i gained there is no negatives. best thing i ever did. i very seldom even think about a smoke anymore. and when i do it last only a few seconds. cant understand why i ever smoked and cannot imagine ever smoking again. at least i hope i never one.

Outstanding, hang in there SOLID; I went through the same thing, only my tobacco of choice was smokeless. Funny how the mechanics of the addiction stick with you. Anyway stick with it, be a quitter!

Good for you, SOLID! January 9 was 16 years from a 2 pack a day habit for me, and I know if I smoke one now, I'll have a pack smoked before bedtime. I haven't wanted one for years, I just realize that an addiction is for life. Best of luck, my friend. :)

Keep goin'. My Mom quit when I was a teenager, and it was hell, but she did it. She had smoked for decades, and managed to get past it, and you will too. Good luck...

Way to go Solid. I quit once (ok stopped once, since I started again I dont guess I can claim I QUIT) for almost ten years. Went through a divorce and started again to calm my nerves/relieve stress or whatever. Maaaann I wish someone had hit me in the head with a hammer instead. :(

SOLID you did good with the no smoke now you got to do something with the more food. I am still trying to start stopping and a friend of mine at work is thinking the same so maybe we can help each other to start to stop. Any how about a post on the fishing forum what happened or did not happen on your fishing trip.

Awesome! hang in there. Nicotine has to be the hardest things there is to get away from. I am still (sort of) trying to quit. I agree, the mental part is the worst. Good luck!
